MOVIE PERMIT: If you need to renew your Movie Permit call (213) 485-2902 which is the direct line to Officer Mark Preciado; he is now handling the renewal of Movie Permits. You will need to qualify at one of the below ranges prior to going to Parker Center. Upon qualifying, have the Range Officer fax the document to (213) 473-0302 in Tanya Washington's office. You'll need about 50 rounds of ammunition and it will take about 20 minutes. It will cost $46 to qualify and the Department requires us to do it 2 times a year. Have the Range Officer make a hard copy of the qualification document and take that with you in case there are any problems.
Officer Preciado will make copies of all relevant papers: Department Identification Card, Motorcycle Registration and Motorcycle Insurance Card. If everything is in order you will be issued your card and or year sticker at that time.
